The Battle of Huertgen Forest was one of the most devastating battles of WWII, with American and German forces suffering casualties upwards of 60,000. 55 years after the battle, soldiers from both sides were assembled at the site of the bloodshed for an emotional reunion. Though these men have come to reconcile with the trauma they experienced during the war, the intense emotions they experienced as young men are never far from the surface.
