Actor Josh Pais (THE STATION AGENT, LITTLE MANHATTAN) makes his directorial debut with this labor of love, a documentary about the Manhattan block where he grew up. Pais provides a history of 7th Street, between Avenues C and D, from the 1800s to the early 21st century, and then offers moving recollections of his childhood growing up in his mother`s bohemian household. Interviews he held with the eclectic group of inhabitants of the area between 1992 and 2002 offer much food for thought about issues of community and gentrification.
