Though the Panzer division of the German Army is better known today, the real military workhorses were the guns of the Wehrmacht, with their advanced technology and effectiveness. The Germans relied heavily upon them in the First World War, and when rearmament for the next war began, it was the Wehrmacht that once again led the way into battles both victorious and unsuccessful.
